Andreas Ziarkas
Andreas Ziarkas is a drummer and percussionist from Rhodes, Greece.

Growing up in a very musical family he started learning music at a young age and has been a full-time musician since the age of 15, working in various music venues in the UK and around Europe. Through his love for traditional Greek percussion Andreas discovered the drums, which led him to move to the UK and study jazz at Middlesex University in London.

Based in London since 2015 he is the co-founder of the funk organ trio John Motors, which he co-leads with his close friends and collaborators Reuben Ard and Izzy Stephens. Furthermore, he leads his own trio under his own name and his most recent work White Spring features an experimental post-bop organ trio.

Over the past 8 years Andreas has performed in numerus festivals all over the UK and Europe, and has appeared on BBC Radio 3, Kings Place and Union Chapel in London.

As a performer he has collaborated with artists in the field of jazz, funk, folk and gospel music such as: Theon Cross, Chris Batchelor, Valia Calda, Ajo, Stagg, Carousel Ensemble, Manos Achalinotopoulos, Olcay Bayir, and Anna Green.
